777twist: I have purchased so many spatulas over time... my father bought one of these about 7 years ago, and it's fantastic. I just recently bought 2 more since I get annoyed when my only one is in the dishwasher. Now I'm set! The only complaint I may have, and this is really about that 7 year old one... I haven't actually tried these new ones yet. But when flipping eggs, sometimes the egg seams to stick to the Spatula... which is annoying. But still overall the best I have used.
Comdet: I've been looking for a turner that will allow me to flip eggs without breaking the yokes. I have a couple of very nice stainless flippers, but I usually cook eggs in a nonstick pan, so I needed something that was nonstick-safe.I tried a flexible silicon one, but was not happy with how much it flexed. I saw this and the price was right, so gave it a shot. Plus, it qualified for the Amazon 4 for 3 promo, which made the low price even better.Very pleased! The front edge is sharp, so I can easily get under a fried egg without any yoke damage. The extra width comes in very helpful to keep eggs from falling off.The handle is stainless and sturdy. It's not the most comfortable handle I've used, but it does not cause a problem either. Can't speak to longevity as of yet, but so far it's been a winner.
Desert Gypsy "A Brooklyn Girl Out West": I actually have several turners/flippers/spatulas by Amco and if I had to pick only one this one would be it. It is really a great shape for doing everything from eggs, to pancakes, burgers - I really can't think of much it can't handle. The front edge is just right for getting under delicate things like crepes without *pushing* them, and sturdy enough to lift things up with no flopping or drooping back into the pan.I've had this spatula five plus years and the nylon head hasn't melted; in fact, the edge still looks fairly new. Has a nice hole in the handle for hanging but this one lives in the crock right next to the stove with the "essentials".Highly recommended.
Irene "Live in his way": Not recommended. Just used twice. The material melts. Very messy. Do not buy! The handle looks fine. When I first got it, I was excited. It works fine but the head melts.
Joel P: Feels like typical commercial kitchen utensils. Solid handle, hasn't rusted even though my kids always leaving it in a puddle after they wash it. Seems to be well made, and frankly is a lot more than I expected given the low price.
