Bas: This wok cooks OK. The thin material doesn't hold heat like a heavy cast iron wok would, but it gets hot enough, and doesn't weigh a ton either. I found it somewhat difficult to keep it steady on the stove, I suppose it depends on what sort of grates you have. I bought the separate metal ring which improves stability, but it raises the wok a little higher reducing the heat a little. My main gripe is the amount of maintenance needed. I seasoned it according to the instructions, which took a while. After cleaning, I make sure it's completely dry (by reheating it), then let it cool, then coat it with a little mineral oil (vegetable oil can turn rancid). Despite all that, it still rusts. If I don't use it for a few weeks, it gets a light coat of rust which then has to be scrubbed off with a scouring pad, or you'll taste it in the food. Maybe if you use this thing 4 or 5 times a week for a few months it would get so well seasoned the rust problem disappears.
B. Fisher: I have had a few woks in the past. First...Highly recommend a round bottom, with the stand. It creates much better heat for cooking with a wok, they way it is in intended. Second, you NEED to be sure to season this wok well before you use it. If you do this, i dont see how this will not last a long time. Great wok, works really well. Dont worry about it changing color or looking beat up, if seasoned right, it will work well every time.
BrianFromNY: You know those woks that have two side handle and that are metal? Well first those kind burn the hand (even with pot holders on them) and they're not nice to flip the food in; well this one is. You have to season it from time to time though, that's my only beef with these pots. Other than that, it is a good fit on the stove; don't forget the wok ring and also, check to see if you have a stove with a high enough BTU burner to effectively cook with a wok.
Christopher R. Bickens: I purchased this wok for stir frying and doing what they do on TV. Well it works ok...its a bit harder then I thought to season the wok and keep it from rusting. The handle on the wok was loose when coming out of the box...was a bit upset.
C. Pilieri: it is important to season it right but I've been using it non stop since I first got it
