NaRiHo: I gave this as a gift to our son's family after searching for the best and this one was rated as the top Waffle Iron. They were right, my son said it is the best , easy to use and makes perfect waffle every time including the first one!
Richard Bleasdale: The waffles are thin and small. It takes some getting used to the settings. I'll keep trying and hope for better results.
Terrell W. Stephens: This unit is adequate but certainly not outstanding. Waffles are "thin" regardless of how you prepare the mix. The unit takes a few minutes to cook. So if you are being visited by you kids and their kids, start early before anyone sits at the table. Adjusting the dial for more crisp waffles do not yield good results.
T. R. KINSLEY: After seasoning the iron as directed, I made my first waffle--disaster. It stuck and pulled apart, so I had two stuck halves. I had to scrape it out with a plastic tool. Then, I sprayed Pam--still stuck partially. [bad] for the money charged--don't buy this.
Zigurd Mednieks "Zigurd": The non-stick does not let waffles stick. The automatic ready indicator works for both heating and cooking. The hinge is articulated so the waffles come out with uniform thickness. The edge of the hot part of the iron has a channel to catch excess batter, and, if that overflows, the plastic surrounding the iron has another channel to prevent batter dripping on your counter. The settings for crispness work. The recipe that comes with it is tasty. A perfect product. The ready indicator has an audible beep, which is great if you are absent-minded before coffee and multi-task while making waffles, but may be annoying to some people.Don't try to squeeze the batter with the lid, let the weight of the lid do the work. The waffles will generally adhere to the lid more than the base, but peel off very easily if pricked with a fork at the edge, with no waffle bits left on the iron.
