Nocturne: This Whisker is huge, not the normal traditional size most people use. It's hard to tell from the picture and you may not be happy when it arrives. If you're buying a whisk to make omelets for you and your 600 closest friends, this may be your whisk, but if you are just using it for single family portions then it is probably the wrong size for you.Even as a "large whisk" the balance of wires to air just seems wrong. Looks fine in the picture, but in person it just needs more wires I think.
NotSoSimple: All we had was a metal whisk and every time we used it, it tore up our nonstick pans. I figured I would give this a shot for under $10. Handle is comfortable, the unit is dishwasher safe. However the whisk portion is somewhat flimsy. We have been able to mix everything except cold pancake batter. It was a little too thick and I switched to the metal. However thick gravy, soup bases, etc all have held up. I can't complain for the price, but just expect a bit of flex in the whisk unit.
oneintheoven: I got it to make gravy, which it does, but the plastic is so hard I'm scared to use it in my non-stick cookware.
Original Larkin: I got this whisk because I wanted something to use on my stainless steel and non-stick pots and pans that wouldn't damage the surface like a metal whisk would. I own a lot of oxo products and like them all, and this whisk is no exception. For the price the quality is good and is exactly what I needed. I mostly use it to make gravy and it is great at getting the lumps out and scraping the saucepan. I would recommend this whisk if you want something to use for cooking that won't scratch your pots and pans, but for baking I would recommend theZyliss Quick Blend Whiskas it is a bit more rigid and better for cookies and dough.
rachelncross: Whisk works well to whisk in pans with heat, hasn't melted, Holds up well in the dishwasher, can't rust, all plastic. Love it!
