redbimmerbabe: This is the best salad spinner I've used. It really does get rid of excess water and it's easy to clean. Wish I'd found it sooner!
remosito: This salad spinner is quite a bit more costly thanother cheaper ones, but worth every penny!Very good quality, solid and spins like a charm.Bought it a year ago and it gets tons of use fromme and my 3 roomies! Even has a brake...:-)You get what you pay for as they say!
restauranteur: The first one of these we got broke in a couple months. The replacement we got has held on a bit longer but it's going to break also. There's a small plastic piece that's part of the drive mechanism which will not withstand more than a thousand or so pumps on the plunger. If you can live with the lack of durability then it's a decent herb spinner. Not really better than any other one, but it does it's job.
Rixmom: ( without which there is none)you tried the alternatives? My 40 year old French essoreuse (salad spinner) died last year, lasted exactly one month without a replacement. Spinning in a towel around my head, are you kidding me? Wet! Laying on a towel and pressing with another one? Not washing even bagged salad ???? Really! Oxo always seems to make the best kitchen tools. They did it again.
R. L. Shagon: I have avoided salad spinners for years because of past disappointments. But when the guys on Americas Test Kitchen made this one their first choice I decided to try again. Not sorry.
