Mr and Mrs Michael Alexander "greenacres": the only reason why I gave this 4 stars is here.1st if you cook hamburgers or chicken it will over flow2nd messy for over flow3rd will leak on counters..prosgreat grill for quick foods. as long as you can drop the fat2nd the thingy that they give to clean the grill will eventually melt.....3 if gets to hot it will discolor regular counter tops...
Nick "whereishawkins": As a relatively lazy bachelor and a mediocre cook, the Foreman is the best way to cook food. Salmon steaks and regular steaks take less than 10 minutes and taste fantastic. The only thing I can say that's bad about the Foreman is when you cook, you see all the grease drip off into the pan. It makes you feel disgusted that if you were to cook this conventionally, you'd be eating that grease.
njbookworm: I am amazed at how quickly this cooks. I prepared chicken breasts (including trimming, marinating, and cooking) in less than 15 minutes. This is a wonderful tool for the lazy, hungry single chef.Notes: 1.) This model is very, very tiny. The most you can fit on there is two hamburgers -- or a chicken breast sliced in half.2.) It's lightweight so it's very easy to travel with, should you desire to put it in your car, camper, etc.3.) It's more difficult to clean that I anticipated. While the grooved top and bottom plate give food those nice "grill lines," they are a tad difficult to maneuver around and clean effectively. I would suggest purchasing a handled sink scrubbing brush to assist you with the task.4.) It heats up in an instant -- literally.
patchouli: I purchased this grill because everyone says the george foreman, the george foreman! So for the price why not.I have a family so it doesn't really work for me that much. I use it for grilling hot dogs and sausages. Maybe strips of chicken of beef for lunch(not for the whole family though). The cleaning is easy, clean it while it's warm, but I just don't feel that anything is REALLY clean unless you run it under water, I don't know about you. That's why I wouldn't purchase the family grill, I don't like the idea of not being able to wash it under the sink. If it were removable maybe? If you are single and don't cook much. This is the grill for you. But if cooking is your thing, invest in a nice stove top grill.
Pete Vere: My wife teases me about my hobby of collecting small kitchen appliances, however, this is one purchase she has never complained about, since it is quick, easy to clean, and has reduced the number of television dinners we eat. The convenient drip tray catches grease and fat running off the grill. Now you can cook a number of foods on this thing, but what we have found comes out the best are hamburgers, morning sausages and chicken patties or nuggetts. Even if slapped on frozen, they cook in under ten minutes, and come out nice and crunchy on the outside without burning, as well as juicy on the inside without being raw. They also taste better than the microwave. So I highly recommend it.
