2 Piece Baby Toddler Girl Letter Long Sleeve And Striped Strap Skirt Set Review
Jody: As far as measuring cups go, these are sleek and modern. The stainless steel makes for easy cleanup, the sizes are well proportioned with comfortable grip handles. Not to mention when my young children bang them around the kitchen, they make for great impromptu instruments that free up a little time to finish cooking our dinner.
Joey's Girl: These are the best measuring cups I have EVER owned. They are super high quality. Made of brushed stainless steel (much like my kitchen sink!) they are ultra durable and will probably last 100 years. The rubbery like handles are easy to hold and will never slip out of your hand. The cups are each very clearly marked for size, right on the inner end of the handle for easy reference. Liquids pour out of them easily, solids and powders measure easily and come out easily. And best of all, they are dishwasher safe! They are perfect all around, in my opinion! I very strongly recommend them! :)
John H. Henderson: I've always found OXO Good Grip products to be quality kitchen products, and I would certainly gravitate toward them when given a choice. These are stainless steel measuring cups. There are two reasons for choosing stainless steel over plastic. The first is that if they fall out of the dishwasher rack, they won't melt if they contact the heating element (although the rubber grips might not fare so well.) I'll conclude with the second reason. (Well, maybe there's a third. Sometimes plastic will stain; mainly with tomato sauce). The handles are stamped from the same metal as the remainder of the cups. On my previous set of measuring cups, the handle is a wire. Although after many years, they haven't exhibited any problem, I can imagine that they may be more likely to separate in the future, while the OXO will not have this problem. The cups have an open hanger hole on it that allows it to snap easily onto the included ring. My wife and I both found this somewhat superfluous, as we normally just stack our measuring cups in a drawer. If you hang them, this may be useful to you, but I wonder with time if the rubber will wear down making the ring less secure.Probably the most unique thing about these cups (in my experience) is their tapered shape. The description indicates that this allows them to sit level when empty. I hadn't given that much thought, so I pulled out my previous cups, and sure enough, the smaller ones won't sit level due to the weight of the handle. I hadn't noticed that this was a problem much because I'm usually scooping with the measuring cups or holding it when filling it, but thinking hard, I could think of time when a smaller cup not sitting flat was annoying; namely when pouring salt into the cup for making a barbeque rub. So this is a handy feature.I also believe that the taper will make it easier to scrape out ingredients such as shortening, and perhaps assist in pouring dry ingredients into a mixer or other narrow space. My only major concern is with the numbering. Each number is color coded. I'm not sure how valuable it is to remember that the yellow number is a one....because if you can see the color, you can see the number. The numbering isn't really small, but there seems to be plenty of space where they could have made the numbers larger. And the font choice is not very good; especially the "4" in "1/4." It's not the quickest to interpret. (Admittedly minor issue). But my main concern is the the numbers are printed on the rubber handles. The other main reason I've chosen metal measuring cups in the past is because the numbers are stamped in the metal, and my plastic cups before that have had the numbers wear off. I may not know for years, though, if the numbers will remain. They've only been used a couple of times now, and have not even seen the dishwasher. I hope they'll last.If the numbers were stamped into the metal, I'd give these five stars.
John "Kula Kine": Sturdy, stylish, comfortable handles, and a good value. Nice touch making the size markings so they can't rub off. The smaller sizes are a little tippy because their handle is the same size/ weight as the larger measurements. While it's conceivable the handles could bend under heavy stress, for the most part, they seem solid and resisted to my attempts to bend them at moderate exertion. For normal use, they should be fine. Overall, a good product and a good price.
John P. Entwistle: These measuring cups are a great quality and good price, for a product that seems as though it will last a lifetime
